IFC to GLB Converter
IFC to GLB Converter turns BIM models into web- and AR-ready GLB in your browser: drop an .ifc file and the .glb downloads automatically, with an option to embed IFC property sets.
Processing and data safety
Section titled “Processing and data safety”This tool runs entirely in your browser (local WebAssembly) — your files are never uploaded to a server.
Input and output
Section titled “Input and output”- Formats: IFC, GLB, glTF
- Flow: IFC → GLB / glTF (geometry + base colors)
How to use
Section titled “How to use”- Drop or select an .ifc file.
- Optionally tick “Embed IFC property sets” to write each element’s Psets into the GLB node extras (off by default).
- Wait for the conversion — the first run fetches the ~1.3 MB conversion engine.
Key details and limits
Section titled “Key details and limits”- By default only geometry and base colors are exported; property sets (Psets) can optionally be written into GLB node extras via the page toggle (off by default). Storey/spatial structure and IFC relationships are never represented in GLB.
- Units: geometry keeps the IFC model’s native scale with no conversion; GLB consumers (three.js / model-viewer / AR) assume meters — verify one known dimension before production use.
- The first run downloads a ~1.3 MB conversion engine (self-hosted).
