CAD & File Format Guide
Vecaria is a local-first toolkit for engineering and document files. This guide explains the main formats and points to the tools that handle them.
2D drawings — DXF / DWG
Section titled “2D drawings — DXF / DWG”DXF is the universal CAD exchange format. Use these tools:
- DXF to SVG: vector output for browsers, Inkscape or Illustrator
- DXF to PNG and DXF to PDF: raster and print output
- DXF Viewer: inspect layers, measure and check entities
- DXF to KML / DXF to GeoJSON: move geometry into GIS
3D models — STEP / IGES / STL / 3MF / OBJ / GLB

- STL to GLB / STL to OBJ: mesh conversion for 3D content
- 3D Model Viewer: inspect and section meshes in the browser
BIM — IFC
