Is it lossless?
The local "Lossless" mode optimizes structure; higher levels rasterize pages and lose selectable text.
When is cloud used?
Only when the file exceeds the local size threshold and you choose cloud processing.
Limitations
- Aggressive modes reduce quality.
- Already-optimized PDFs may not shrink much.
Privacy
Local processing never uploads. Pro cloud processing uploads files over an encrypted connection; they are stored for 30 days by default and auto-deleted, or you can delete them earlier at any time.
