Dropped files land in a page workbench: remove or rotate individual pages, drag pages across files, undo/redo any edit, then merge — output follows the workbench's final state (thumbnails render for the first 30 pages per file; later pages still merge as-is).

Encrypted files? Enter the open password below before merging.

Pro · Process in cloudUploaded files are stored for 30 days by default and can be deleted anytime

After submission this page polls the job every 2 seconds for up to about 11 minutes; if it times out, please resubmit (the server allows up to 10 minutes per job).

What is it? Merge PDF combines multiple PDFs into one via a page-level workbench: remove or rotate individual pages, drag pages across files to reorder, undo/redo any edit — the output follows the workbench's final state, source bookmarks are kept pointing at the right merged pages, locally in the browser, with optional cloud processing for large files.

TL;DR: Combine multiple PDFs into one — remove, rotate and drag pages across files in a page-level workbench, undo/redo any edit. Free, no sign-in, nothing uploaded under 10 MB.

How to use

  1. Add two or more PDFs — every page lands in the page workbench (thumbnails render for the first 30 pages per file; later pages still merge as-is).
  2. Rotate (↺/↻) or remove (✕) individual pages, drag cards to reorder across files, and undo/redo any edit; the file list still supports whole-file add/remove and sort-by-name.
  3. (Optional) tick "Generate a table-of-contents page" — only files with kept pages get entries; it paginates automatically for many files.
  4. Click Merge PDF — output follows the workbench's final state; very large files can use the Pro cloud option below.

FAQ

Can I reorder or rotate pages within a file?

Yes — that's the page workbench: drag any page card to any position (across files too), rotate it in 90° steps, or remove it. Bookmarks follow: they point at the merged position of their page, and bookmarks of removed pages are dropped.

Are encrypted PDFs supported?

Encrypted PDFs: provide the open password to merge them. Without a password, encrypted files are rejected with a clear message (they cannot be merged correctly).

Is it uploaded?

Local merging never uploads — files up to ~10 MB are processed in your browser, free with no sign-in, and never leave your device. The cloud option (large files) uploads only when you choose it, and requires sign-in.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

As many as you drop — there is no file-count limit. Every page lands in the workbench (thumbnails render for the first 30 pages per file; later pages merge as-is). What matters is total size: up to ~10 MB stays local, and beyond that the Pro cloud option below handles it.

Do the merged pages keep their original page sizes?

Yes — each page keeps its own size and orientation; the merged file simply stacks the pages in workbench order, so mixed page sizes stay as they are. Making uniform sheets is N-up imposition (PDF Crop, N-up & Repair), not a merge.

What's the difference between Merge PDF and PDF Page Organizer?

Merge PDF joins several files into one and lets you remove, rotate and reorder pages across those files. PDF Page Organizer reorganizes pages within a single PDF (including duplicating them). One file → Page Organizer; joining files → Merge PDF.

What does "Generate a table-of-contents page" do?

It inserts a generated TOC page at the start of the merged file — only files that still have kept pages get an entry, and it repaginates automatically when there are many files. It's optional and off by default.

Can I merge PDFs in my browser without installing anything?

Yes — the whole workbench runs in your browser: drop files, reorder pages and download the merged PDF with nothing installed, and nothing uploaded for files under the local limit.

Examples

  • Drop in multiple PDFs → remove/rotate/drag pages in the workbench → download the merged file

Limitations

  • Source bookmarks are preserved as a flat list pointing at their page's merged position; bookmarks of removed pages are dropped. Complex form fields may not carry over perfectly.
  • Thumbnails render for the first 30 pages per file (kept consistent with Split PDF) — later pages still merge as-is; use PDF Page Organizer for per-page work on very large files.
  • No hard local size limit; files over the inline threshold (~10 MB) are better handled by the cloud option.
  • Small files are processed locally and never uploaded; the cloud option uploads only when you choose it.
  • Encrypted inputs need the open password — without it, merging stops with a clear message instead of producing broken output.

Privacy

Processed locally in your browser by default — nothing is uploaded unless you choose cloud processing. Then files travel over an encrypted connection to our own VPS, are stored for 1 days by default and auto-deleted, or you can delete them earlier at any time.
