Supports DXF

Choose file

Rendered at up to 2400 px on the long edge on a white background; the PDF page equals the render pixels — scale to fit when printing. Landscape drawings can pick a paper size above for a standard page.

Drop one or more DXF files — a single file downloads its PDF directly; multiple files are zipped. ASCII DXF only.

What is it? DXF to PDF renders a DXF drawing to a single-page, image-based PDF (a bitmap of the rendered sheet) for quick sharing, printing and archiving — pick fit-to-image (pixel page, default) or a standard paper size (A4/A3/A2/Letter/Legal/Tabloid), and batch multiple files into one ZIP. No CAD software needed on the receiving end. For selectable vector text, use DXF to SVG.

TL;DR: Share CAD drawings as a single-page PDF — fit-to-image or A4/A3/A2/Letter, batch to ZIP, no AutoCAD needed on either end.

How to use

  1. Optionally pick a paper size (default "Fit to image": the PDF page equals the render pixels; A4/A3/A2/Letter/Legal/Tabloid auto-orient, scale to fit and center with ~6.35 mm margins).
  2. Drop one or more DXF files — a single file downloads its PDF directly; multiple files (up to 10) are exported one PDF each and packaged as a ZIP.
  3. Send the PDF to clients, or print it.

FAQ

Is the PDF searchable or selectable?

No — the PDF page is a rendered image of the drawing, so text cannot be selected or searched. For selectable vector output, use DXF to SVG.

What does the paper size option do?

"Fit to image" (default) makes the PDF page exactly the render pixels — print with "fit to page". A standard paper size places the drawing on A4/A3/A2/Letter/Legal or Tabloid with ~6.35 mm margins: wide drawings automatically get landscape orientation and the image is scaled proportionally to fit.

Is it uploaded?

No — rendering happens in your browser.

Is binary DXF supported?

No — ASCII DXF only. Re-save binary DXF as ASCII from your CAD tool first.

Do I need AutoCAD to convert or open the result?

No. The DXF is parsed and rendered entirely in your browser, and the output is a standard PDF — recipients only need a PDF reader, which makes it ideal for sending drawings to clients and teams without CAD software.

How many files can I convert at once?

Up to 10 DXF files per batch. Each file becomes its own single-page PDF and the results are packaged as one ZIP; a file that fails is reported and does not block the rest.

Will the drawing print to scale?

Not guaranteed. The PDF is image-based: "Fit to image" pages print best with the viewer's "fit to page" setting, and standard paper sizes scale the drawing proportionally with ~6.35 mm margins — this is a sharing format, not a 1:1 plot.

Examples

  • Drop in a DXF → the PDF downloads automatically
  • Drop several DXF files → one PDF each, packaged as a ZIP

Supported formats

DXFPDF

Limitations

  • Single-page image-based PDF — no vector line work or selectable text; use DXF to SVG for vector output.
  • ASCII DXF only.
  • Very dense drawings are rendered at up to 2400 px on the long edge and can produce large PDFs.
  • Batch converts up to 10 files at a time; a file that fails does not block the others and is reported.
