Supports DXF
Choose fileASCII DXF only. Rendered locally in your browser and exported as PNG.
What is it? DXF to PNG renders a DXF drawing to a high-resolution raster image for documentation, slide decks and web thumbnails.
TL;DR: Export DXF drawings as high-resolution PNG images — 1200/2400/4800 px, white background, no upload.
How to use
- Pick the max resolution (long edge): 1200 px (fast), 2400 px (standard) or 4800 px (HD).
- Drop a .dxf file into the area — the PNG renders and downloads automatically.
- If your browser blocked the automatic download, use the in-page "Download PNG again" button — the result preview always stays on the page.
FAQ
Can I get a transparent background?
No — the output is fixed at a white-background PNG for direct use in documents. Transparent background isn't supported yet.
Is it private?
Yes, the render is local.
What resolutions can I choose?
Three presets for the long edge: 1200, 2400 or 4800 px. Very large drawings step down automatically at the browser canvas limit (about 16.7 MP), with the actual size reported.
Does the PNG keep a vector text layer?
No — the output is a raster image with no selectable text, on a fixed white background. Use DXF to SVG if you need vectors.
Do I need AutoCAD or any CAD software?
No. The DXF is parsed and rendered entirely in your browser, and the output is a standard PNG image — recipients only need an image viewer or an office app, which makes it ideal for sending drawings to clients and teams without CAD software.
What is the PNG best used for?
Documentation, slide decks, web pages and quick previews — anywhere a fixed white-background image reads better than a CAD file. It is a raster image, so it will not stay sharp when zoomed far beyond its preset and carries no editable vector geometry; use DXF to SVG for that.
Can I convert several DXF files at once?
This tool converts one file per run. For batches of up to 10 DXF files, use DXF to PDF — each drawing becomes its own single-page PDF and the results are packaged as a ZIP.

Limitations
- ASCII DXF only.
- Raster output has no selectable vector text layer.
- The long edge scales to the selected preset (1200/2400/4800 px); very large drawings are capped by the browser canvas limit (~16.7 MP) — the tool steps down automatically and reports the actual size.
- Very large drawings (roughly 200,000+ entities) are truncated — the result message reports drawn/skipped counts and the truncated count separately; hatches and other entity types the parser cannot read never reach the result or the counts; polyline arc segments (bulge) are sampled into arc polylines (64 points per arc segment).
- Runs locally in your browser; your file is never uploaded.
