STL Slicer
Slice STL, OBJ, PLY, 3MF and GLB meshes by layer height in your browser — preview each layer’s contours, then export layered SVG or outline G-code. No upload.
Processing and data safety
Section titled “Processing and data safety”This tool runs entirely in your browser — your files are never uploaded to a server.
Input and output
Section titled “Input and output”- Formats: STL, OBJ, PLY, 3MF, GLB, GLTF, G-code (output), SVG (output)
- Flow: STL → layered SVG or outline G-code
How to use
Section titled “How to use”- Open a mesh — it previews on the page in 3D. Mesh files only (STL/OBJ/PLY/3MF/GLB/GLTF); point clouds are rejected with a clear message.
- Set the layer height and click Slice.
- Step through layers with the slider (stacked, or the single-layer view for just layer N — the current layer’s Z is annotated on the preview and follows the view).
Key details and limits
Section titled “Key details and limits”- Contour slicing only — no infill, supports or printer profiles.
- Best suited to previews and outline toolpaths.
- Layer heights and coordinates are interpreted in model units as millimeters — STL/OBJ carry no unit field, so rescale non-mm models (e.g. inches ×25.4) before slicing.
Common use cases
Section titled “Common use cases”- Drop in an STL → set the layer height → preview contours (single-layer view) and export SVG/G-code
