Center STL on the Bed
Center STL on the Bed centers a model on XY, drops it onto the bed (min Z = 0) and scales it to an exact target height in millimeters, then exports binary STL with a print-feasibility grade (overhang ratio, minimum wall, triangle count).
Processing and data safety
Section titled “Processing and data safety”This tool runs entirely in your browser — your files are never uploaded to a server.
Input and output
Section titled “Input and output”- Formats: STL, OBJ, PLY, 3MF, GLB, GLTF
- Flow: STL → bed-centered, Z=0 STL at a target height
How to use
Section titled “How to use”- Open a model — it previews on the page first (one file at a time; if several files arrive together only the first is processed and the rest are listed as ignored).
- Set the target height and options.
- Click “Convert & download” — the STL saves to your downloads and the page shows a print-feasibility summary (grade, overhang ratio, minimum wall, triangle count). Confirm in your slicer before printing.
Key details and limits
Section titled “Key details and limits”- No supports or orientation optimization.
- No mesh repair — run Mesh Doctor first for broken meshes.
- Z is the height/bed axis for all inputs; glTF/GLB is Y-up by spec and is not converted — rotate and re-export GLB models first, or check the target height against the model’s depth.
Common use cases
Section titled “Common use cases”- Upload a model → centered on the bed → download STL
