DXF to GeoJSON Converter
DXF to GeoJSON converts CAD linework into GeoJSON features for QGIS, Mapbox and Leaflet — LINE becomes LineString, polylines become lines or polygons, circles and arcs are approximated as polylines…
Processing and data safety
Section titled “Processing and data safety”This tool runs entirely in your browser — your files are never uploaded to a server.
Input and output
Section titled “Input and output”- Formats: DXF, GeoJSON
- Flow: DXF → GeoJSON (layers map to properties)
How to use
Section titled “How to use”- Drop a .dxf file — conversion starts immediately.
- Adjust circle/arc segments if needed (default 32; more segments approximate true curves closer — areas are computed on the polyline).
- Check the inline geometry preview, or tick ‘Preview on a map’ to see the shape plotted as lon/lat.
Key details and limits
Section titled “Key details and limits”- ASCII DXF only — re-save binary DXF as ASCII from your CAD tool.
- No coordinate reprojection during conversion.
- Text entities become point markers with an attribute rather than labels.
Common use cases
