How to use
Section titled “How to use”- Open a local .svg file, drop it onto the input, or paste the SVG source.
- Pick a mode: Quick (regex subset, live results) or Deep (SVGO full plugin set; toggle “Safe sanitize” to strip <script>, on by default).
- Review the character/gzip comparison and the rendered before/after, then copy or download the optimized SVG.
Key details and limits
Section titled “Key details and limits”- Deep mode (SVGO) rewrites path data and converts shapes to paths — numerically equivalent but the source changes; review before shipping.
- Safe sanitize is on by default in deep mode: <script> is removed, so script-driven SVGs stop working. foreignObject/inline handlers/javascript: URIs are not sanitized; fonts are not embedded.
- Quick mode is an appearance-level regex subset: path geometry and the viewBox are never reshaped; whitespace between tags collapses and number/color values are shortened (numerically equal).
