IFC Model Viewer
Inspect BIM models in the browser: measure, section, browse the tree, read properties and get a 2D plan — free, no upload, no sign-up.
Processing and data safety
Section titled “Processing and data safety”This tool runs entirely in your browser (local WebAssembly) — your files are never uploaded to a server.
Input and output
Section titled “Input and output”- Formats: IFC
- Flow: IFC → in-browser 3D view (measure, section, element tree, takeoff CSV)
How to use
Section titled “How to use”- Open an .ifc file — it renders in 3D immediately (first load downloads the parsing engine).
- Filter the element tree by type to show, hide or isolate a category; use Visibility → By storey to hide or isolate whole floors.
- Click an element in the 3D view or the tree to inspect its property sets.
Key details and limits
Section titled “Key details and limits”- First load downloads a ~1.3 MB parsing engine (WASM).
- The element tree groups elements by IFC type (not a floor/spatial tree); floors live under Visibility → By storey.
- The 2D plan is a bounding-box schematic: door hinge/swing use a default convention; cut height and scale bar are in the model’s native units (usually meters).
Common use cases
Section titled “Common use cases”- Drop in an .ifc → view in 3D → measure/section → show, hide or isolate in the element tree
