What is it? IFC Elements List reads an IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) model and lists every GlobalId-carrying entity with its GlobalId, Name and IFC type, together with a count per type — physical elements plus spaces, groups and relationship objects (IfcSpace / IfcRel* included). Filter by type, search by name / GlobalId / type / tag, and export the full or a single-type list. A quick way to inventory a BIM model without opening a full authoring suite.

How to use
- Drop or select an .ifc file.
- Wait for the model to be parsed (large files take a few seconds).
- Review the element list — filter by type chips/dropdown and search by name / GlobalId / type / tag.
- Download the full list as CSV for schedules or takeoff.
FAQ
Is the file uploaded?
No. Parsing runs entirely in your browser with the open-source web-ifc engine (WebAssembly); the IFC file never leaves your device.
Which IFC versions are supported?
IFC2x3, IFC4 and IFC4x3 models are supported.
Can I filter by type?
Yes — the element list is grouped by IFC type so you can inspect and export a single type such as IfcSpace or IfcDoor.
Does the CSV include property sets (Psets)?
No — each row carries GlobalId, name and IFC type only. Property sets are not expanded here; open the model in the IFC Viewer to click an element and read its Psets.
Why do I see IfcSpace and IfcRel* rows?
The list includes every entity that carries a GlobalId — spaces, groups and relationship objects, not just physical elements like walls and doors. Use the type chips or dropdown to export a single type such as IfcWall, or search by name, GlobalId, type or tag to narrow the preview.
How many elements can it export, and in what order?
Up to 20,000 rows, and the CSV keeps the model's original entity order — sorting and search apply to the preview table only. Types the web-ifc engine cannot resolve show as UNKNOWN in the type column, and very large models are also bounded by browser memory.
Can I open the CSV in Excel?
Yes — the export is a standard CSV that opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, and feeds straight into scripts. If accented names look wrong, import it as UTF-8.

Limitations
- Entities with a GlobalId are listed, capped at 20,000 rows — the count includes IfcSpace / IfcRel* relationship objects, not just physical elements.
- Property sets are not expanded here — use the IFC Viewer for property inspection.
- The type column shows IFC type names (e.g. IfcWall); types the engine cannot resolve show UNKNOWN.
- The first load downloads the open-source web-ifc parsing engine (WebAssembly, MPL-2.0).
- Processed locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
