IGES to STL Converter
Drop in an IGES 5.1/5.3 model, preview it on the page, pick a tessellation preset and an output unit (mm/cm/inch), then download a binary STL ready for your slicer.
Processing and data safety
Section titled “Processing and data safety”This tool runs entirely in your browser — your files are never uploaded to a server.
Input and output
Section titled “Input and output”- Formats: IGES (5.1 / 5.3), IGS, STL (binary)
- Flow: IGES / IGS (5.1 / 5.3) → binary STL
How to use
Section titled “How to use”- Drop or select a .iges/.igs file — the model previews on the page (or click “Try a sample” to load sample-box.igs, a 10mm cube).
- Optionally pick a tessellation preset: Draft / Standard / High / Ultra, and set the output unit (mm / cm / inch) plus a custom scale if needed.
- Click Convert & download — the .stl saves to your downloads.
Key details and limits
Section titled “Key details and limits”- Some IGES entity types may be approximated or skipped.
- Geometry survives (B-rep surfaces are tessellated to a binary STL triangle mesh); colors, materials and assembly structure do not — the STL format has no fields for them. Use CAD Export to OBJ/GLB when you need them.
- Tessellation precision presets: Draft / Standard / High / Ultra.
