How to use
- Drop an .iges/.igs file (or click Try a sample) — it parses and auto-fits automatically; large assemblies show a Cancel-parsing button that keeps the previously loaded model.
- Rotate, zoom and pan; switch tessellation precision if needed.
- Use the toolbar to measure distance/angle, annotate, section or take a screenshot.
- Distance readouts start in the file's own units — declare the model's source unit under "Model unit (for conversion)" (IGES files are commonly in inches) and readouts show both mm and in.

No — IGES parsing (OCCT WASM) and WebGL rendering run entirely in your browser tab, so nothing passes through a server. You can verify zero uploads in your browser's Network tab.
Can I export a mesh?

Are measurements in millimeters?

Is there a file size limit?
No upload cap — parsing runs in your browser's memory, so the practical limit depends on your device rather than a server quota. Large assemblies can be cancelled mid-parse while keeping the last loaded model.
What is an IGES file?
IGES (Initial Graphics Exchange Specification, latest version 5.3) is one of the oldest neutral CAD exchange formats, still common for surface and wireframe data between legacy CAD systems. Files use the .iges or .igs extension.

- Large models are limited by browser memory; parsing runs off-thread (WASM) without fine-grained progress and can be cancelled.
- View-only — IGES files cannot be exported or edited here.
- Parsed locally in your browser (OCCT WASM); files are not uploaded.
- Displayed mesh is a tessellated approximation of surfaces.
- Measurement readouts use the file's own units; declare the source unit to get mm/in conversions — undeclared readouts stay raw and are labeled "model units".
- Exploded view appears for multi-part assemblies only.
