How to use
- Drop multiple images.
- Choose the format, quality, maximum width, and the concurrency (default 2; 1 = serial).
- Process and download the ZIP of results — duplicate file names are auto-numbered (photo-1.jpg), never overwritten.
- Got a very large batch? Keep the concurrency at 2 (or drop it to 1 for serial processing) so memory stays flat; the queue resumes from where you paused.
- Only one image to change? Use Image Converter Online instead — it gives you a single-file preview and before/after comparison.

Is metadata removed?
Yes — EXIF and other metadata are stripped during processing.
Does it upload my images?
No — all processing runs in your browser.
Why did my AVIF come out as a PNG?
Your browser cannot encode AVIF (or WebP): the output falls back to PNG, and ZIP entries are named by the real format — never mislabeled.
Is there a limit on how many images I can batch?
There is no fixed count, but very large batches are bounded by browser memory — keep concurrency at 2, or 1 for large sets.
One image or a whole batch — which tool should I use?
Use Image Converter Online for a single file (per-file preview, before/after comparison, resize quality control). Use this tool when you have many images: it processes them together, reports the per-file and total savings, and hands you one ZIP with duplicate names auto-numbered — never overwritten.
Can it shrink the dimensions too?
Yes — set a maximum width and every image is scaled proportionally to fit inside it; images are never upscaled. Use it together with the quality slider for the smallest files.
Is the compression lossy?
JPEG, WebP and AVIF output re-encode your images, so quality is adjustable but inherently lossy — pick a higher quality for near-visible-lossless results. PNG output is lossless, so choose PNG when every pixel must survive (screenshots, line art with few colors).
Do I need an account or an install?
Neither — it runs in the browser, no sign-up and nothing to install, and your images never leave the device. EXIF and other metadata are stripped during processing, which also keeps shared batches privacy-clean.

Limitations
- Re-encoding strips EXIF and other metadata — keep your originals if you need them.
- AVIF/WebP encoding depends on browser support: probed with a real encode at load; if unsupported the output falls back to PNG and ZIP entries are named by the real format (never mislabeled .avif). AVIF encoding can be slower on older devices.
- Animated GIFs take their first frame only (static output). Undecodable files are listed as skipped and don't block the rest of the batch.
- Very large batches are limited by browser memory; keep the concurrency at 2 for large inputs.
- Duplicate file names are auto-numbered in the ZIP (e.g. photo-1.jpg) so nothing is silently overwritten.
- All processing happens locally in your browser — images are never uploaded.
