TL;DR: Add text or image watermarks to PDFs — opacity, position, tiling, page range — locally, no upload.
How to use
- Choose "Text watermark" or "Image watermark" (PNG/JPG), then set the style — the opacity slider shows its current value.
- Open a PDF — multiple files run as a batch.
- Click "Add watermark" — the watermarked PDF downloads when processing finishes (batch results pack as a ZIP).
FAQ
Can I use an image watermark?
Yes — pick "Image watermark" and choose a PNG/JPG; it keeps its aspect ratio and its width scales as a percentage of the page width. Text watermarks stay available with color, font size and rotation controls.
Does Chinese text work?
Yes — a self-hosted Noto Sans SC font is used for non-Latin characters; characters missing a glyph are counted and disclosed, never silently dropped.
Is it local?
Yes.
Can I watermark only certain pages?
Yes — set a page range (for example 1-3 or 5-end) and only those pages are stamped; the rest stay untouched.
Can the watermark cover the whole page?
Yes — turn on tiling and the watermark repeats across the page, which is the usual choice for draft or confidential stamps. Without tiling, place it once in any of the 9 grid positions.
Can I watermark several PDFs at once?
Yes — open multiple files and they run as a batch, then download the results packed as a ZIP.
Can I drag the watermark to an exact spot?
No — placement uses 9 grid positions (plus tiling for full-page coverage), not pixel-level drag. This keeps the batch run predictable; every file gets the identical stamp.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Single-file and batch runs use a free daily allowance with no sign-in — the quota resets every 24 hours. Everything runs in your browser and the PDF is never uploaded.
Examples
- Drop in a PDF → set a text or image watermark → download (ZIP for batches)
Supported formats
Limitations
- Text watermarks: opacity, font size (4–400), rotation (±360°), color, 9-grid position, tiling and page range are adjustable; inputs are clamped to those ranges.
- Image watermarks: PNG/JPG only; width is a percentage of page width (1–100%) with the aspect ratio kept.
- Complex fonts may be substituted.
