What is it? Sign PDF Documents lets you create a signature by drawing, uploading a PNG/JPG image, typing your name (system fonts), or capturing from the camera — click to place it on a page preview (drag to move, handle to resize), and sign a single page or every page (same position/size on each): a transparent overlay drawn on top of existing content, locally in the browser.
TL;DR: Draw, upload, type or capture a signature, click to place, sign one page or all.
How to use
- Open a PDF — the selected page renders as a preview.
- Create the signature — draw on the pad, click "Upload signature image" (PNG/JPG; JPG gets a transparency warning), "Type signature" (pick a style; system fonts vary by device), or "Camera capture" (the near-white background is keyed out by brightness — light background and dark ink work best).
- Click the preview to place the signature (drag to move, drag the corner handle to resize); tick "Sign all pages" to apply it to every page, then download.
FAQ
Is it a digital certificate signature?
It is a visual signature (drawn or uploaded image). For certificate-based signing use dedicated e-signature services.
Does the signature cover the text below?
No — the signature exports as a transparent PNG (PDF SMask) and is drawn on top of the page content, so underlying text and table lines stay visible. JPG uploads have no transparency and are flagged (they would include a white rectangle), and camera captures have their near-white background keyed out automatically.
How does multi-page signing work?
"Sign all pages" copies the same position and size to every page (each page size is measured independently); the result message reports how many pages were signed. Per-page different placements are not supported — sign once per placement instead.
Is it local?
Yes — the PDF is processed in your browser and never uploaded. Even camera capture runs locally; the video stream is not sent anywhere.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Signing is free with no sign-in — open a PDF, place your signature, download. It uses your daily free allowance; higher volumes are the Pro tier.
Is a signature like this legally binding?
It is a visual signature — a picture of your signature placed on the page — not a certificate-based e-signature: no identity binding, no cryptographic seal, no trusted timestamp. That is fine for everyday approvals and informal agreements; for anything that must hold up in court or meet e-signature law, use a certificate-based service and put the e-signature clause in the contract.
Can I just type my name?
Yes — "Type signature" writes your name in one of four system font styles; the exact rendering falls back per device. Drawn and camera signatures keep their transparency; a JPG upload is flagged because it has no alpha channel.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes — the page runs in a mobile browser, and "Camera capture" turns the phone camera into a signature pad: the near-white background is keyed out locally, so light paper and dark ink work best, and the camera stream is never uploaded.
Examples
- Draw or upload a signature → click the page preview to place it → download the signed PDF

Limitations
- Visual signature only (not cryptographic) — for legally reliable e-signatures use certificate-based services; see the notice on the page.
- Signature input: draw on the pad, upload PNG/JPG (JPG has no transparency — an opaque white rectangle would cover the text below; a transparent PNG is recommended), type your name (4 system font styles — the exact look falls back per device), or capture from the camera (near-white background keyed out by brightness locally; a light background with dark ink works best).
- "Sign all pages" applies one placement to every page; per-page different placements are not supported.
- Runs locally in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
- Encrypted PDFs must be decrypted before signing.
